Mini Project-Desktop Application for Saloon Management

This is the mini project of Group number 03 of Computer Science and Technology degree program in Uva Wellassa University, Badulla, Sri Lanka. In the partial fulfillment of the course Mini Project CST 291-1, we have decided to create a Saloon Management System titled Babaro Care. It is desktop application software.

There are two main parts in our Management System. Main objective is to make a payroll system to a saloon. The other one is to schedule the appointments. Main goal of our mini project is to produce an efficient appointment scheduling rather than keeping traditional book keeping methods.

Busy life style of the clients leads to the issue of saving time. Idling and waiting in queues, wasting time in waiting rooms still the stylists become available will consume more time than expected. Hence time has become an important constraint, which leads the traditional book keeping obsolete. By using a computer based system, time constraint can be managed as well can obtain more accurate information which makes the company activities more efficient and effective.

Our system consists of two kinds of users: Admin user and the receptionist. Admin user is the responsible person for each and every transaction as well as the functionality in the system. Some actions could not be enable to the receptionist is to secure the system.

Not only that when the admin user checks the work flow of employees it keeps a separate Excel sheet as track including date and time. Although the login part also well secured. If the both users forgot their passwords it asks their emails and provides their password correctly just taking few seconds.

Technology we used to develop our project are
  • C# frame work
  • MySQL workbench
EER Diagram of our database.
